The latest update for Marvel Rivals has arrived, marking the start of Season 2: Hellfire Gala. This patch introduces a new hero, team-up adjustments, balance changes, and competitive updates, ensuring fresh gameplay experiences for fans. Below is a detailed breakdown of the key additions and adjustments. This season premiers April 11


New Hero: Emma Frost (Vanguard)





Emma Frost joins the roster as a Vanguard hero, wielding telepathic powers and diamond form transformations. Her abilities focus on crowd control, durability, and frontline presence, making her a versatile addition to team compositions.


Team-Up Ability Updates

New Team-Ups

  • Emma Frost, Psylocke, and Magneto – Summons illusionary projections that attack enemies.

  • Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch – Strange’s portals enhance Wanda’s chaos magic with additional projectiles.

  • Captain America and Winter Soldier – Bucky dashes to allies for coordinated counterattacks.

Removed Team-Ups

Several team-ups have been adjusted or removed entirely:

  • Scarlet Witch + Magneto

  • Thor + Captain America + Storm

  • Psylocke removed from Black Panther’s dimensional shortcut

  • Doctor Strange replaced by Namor in the Gamma Charge team-up

Competitive and Ranked Adjustments

Rank Reset & Requirements

  • Players will drop nine divisions (e.g., Diamond 1 → Silver 1).

  • New minimum level requirement of 15 to participate in ranked matches.

Map Rotation

  • New Map: Hellfire Gala (Krakoa)

  • Removed from Ranked: Royal Palace and Tokyo 2099

Pick/Ban System Expansion

  • Now available starting at Gold III (previously Diamond+).

  • Eternity and One Above All players restricted to duo queue only.

Performance-Based Ranking

Ranked progression now considers individual performance, meaning strong play can mitigate losses.


Quality of Life: Skin Gifting & Variants

A new gifting system allows players to send skins to friends. Additionally, color variants (chromas) have been introduced for select cosmetics, offering further customization.
